DJ Gregg here with another installment for the blog.
Our adventure starts at the Bahia Mar on Ft. Lauderdale beach. A wonderful space to have a wedding. the ceremony was a room overlooking the ocean. It was an overcast day, but the room was bright with Love and Marriage!

As the guests were arriving, I played traditional prelude music. Then the groomsmen, the groom, and the Priest came in. Shorty after that, the girls came in. I was instructed to play "Jesus, Joy of Man's Desires" by J.S. Bach. Then Amanda came in to "Canon in D" by Pachabel. She looked beautiful. The ceremony was very touching and funny! The priest had a good sense of humor.

After the ceremony, all of the guests went to the cocktail hour. Tropical music was on tap for that.

Now the main room opens. I had some upbeat, funky music on to welcome all of the guests. I then went to the lobby to line up the bridal party for the grand entrance. I introduce them and then introduce the Bride and Groom to "Eye of the Tiger" per their request. They came in with fists pumping like they were ready to get in the ring for a prizefight. It was very upbeat and fun. I then played the first dance 'Only you can love me this way" by Keith Urban. After that I played another slow song for the bridal party and the rest of the guests. We then were ready to do the toasts. The best man, and maid of honor had wonderful things to say, but the Groom was very gracious and welcomed everyone from far away. Lots of guests were from out of town.

Dinner is served. I proceded to play all different type of music in between courses, allowing the guests to dance. I also did an anniversary dance. In this dance, I invite only the married couples to dance. I then proceed to eliminate them based on the number of years married. The last couple standing recieved a bottle of champagne. By the way, they have been married for 52 years! Imagine that!

After dinner, I invited Amanda and her father to dance "I loved her first" was their selection. I then was instructed to play "Moves like Jagger" as the next song. WOW! All of Amanda's friends got up and proceeded to do a choreographed FLASH MOB routine to the song. Very cool and the place went crazy. After that I played lots of modern music and a few oldies thrown in for good measure. All in all it was a great party and a lot of fun!
